NOW® Betaine HCl is a dietary supplement formulated to support healthy stomach digestion. Hydrochloric acid (HCl) plays a role in protein digestion, gut flora balance, and stimulating intestinal enzyme release. Because natural HCl production can decline with age, this supplement aims to support normal digestion and nutrient absorption. The formula is vegetarian and vegan-friendly, using an acid-stable protease.

Serving Size: 2 Veg Capsules. Each serving contains 1,296 mg of Betaine HCl and 300 mg of Acid-Stable Protease (300 SAPU) (Fungal Pepsin from Aspergillus niger). Other ingredients include Hypromellose, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide, and Microcrystalline Cellulose. The product is free from yeast, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, or sesame.
