Hold the thermometer 1–3 cm from the center of the forehead. Press the measurement button and wait for the beep. Read the result on the XL display — the emoji indicator shows green (no fever) or red (fever at 38.0°C+). For object or room temperature, point the device at the surface or hold in open air.
