Skinoren Cream

Skinoren Cream is used to treat acne (acne vulgaris) with a dual mode of action:

• Reduces the growth of keratin cells that can block pores, causing spots
• Has antibacterial properties, killing bacteria beneath the skin surface

Skinoren Cream is a targeted acne treatment that works through two complementary mechanisms. It reduces keratin cell growth that clogs pores and causes breakouts, while its antibacterial formula eliminates acne-causing bacteria beneath the skin surface. Ideal for managing acne vulgaris, this cream addresses both the structural and bacterial factors that contribute to persistent spots and blemishes.

Skinoren cream should be applied twice daily, after washing affected areas.
It is recommended that those with sensitive skin only apply Skinoren cream once daily in the evening for the first week.
Continuous use of Skinoren cream should be limited to 12 months.
A single application of Skinoren cream should be sufficient to cover the entire facial area using a small amount (roughly 2.5cm).

Depending on the size of the affected area, it is important to judge how much should be applied to other areas.

Using Skinoren cream regularly for a number of months is essential to getting the best results. It usually takes four weeks for improvements to appear.

Azelaic Acid

Skinoren cream primarily treats acne, (also known as acne vulgaris).

Whiteheads, pimples, and blackheads are all symptoms of acne, which appears when hair follicles become blocked. Teenagers are more prone to this condition, but it can affect anyone.

In some cases, Skinoren cream may also be prescribed for treating rosacea - a common skin disorder that is characterised by redness, flushing, and visible blood vessels. Additional symptoms may include swelling, pus-filled bumps, and thickened skin.

Skinoren's active ingredient, azelaic acid, has been shown to potentiate hair growth and treat alopecia in recent trials, but further research is needed.
